Nitto NT 555 Extreme Width?

Nitto NT 555 Extreme Width?

I'm looking into buying a set of 315 555 Etremes. Are these narrow like the Nitto drags or are they more of a "true" 315 tire?

most say the 315's fit like a 295 but i have the 275/40/17 nitto dr's and they dont look narrow to me much wider than the 275 falkens i have on the front.
the widest dr's are the mickey thompsons.

I had 275 Nitto DR's and they seemed like they were just as wide as the stock 275 Goodyears I had. I had 315 BFG DR's and they were wide but the tread life was awful.

The 315/35-17 NT555 Extreme does have a wider section width than the NT555R DR. Nitto has the section width listed at 12.56"

I think my 315 BFG's were around 13".

just get the DR's the Extreme 555's don't have nearly the
same traction and is a waste of time.

I have the 555R's on my stock rims. Traction is ok but the width of the 315's are just too narrow. I had BFG's also, good traction but they lasted me like 2K miles. A couple of my friends have the NT 555's and they said that traction is good and the tread life is much better than the DR's.
