I have some Front Prostars sitting in my spare room. I'll take out out of the box and weigh it then dismount the Summit Star front and weigh that when I stick my Fikse's back on.
I stopped into the summit store last weekend and asked them the shipped weights of the summit stars and prostars 15x8's. You're pretty close. The weld was 15lbs and the summit stars were 19lbs. That's shipped weight so the packaging was factored in. Actual rim weight is probably that minus a pound or so.

^^^ That may have just made my decision easier. I was going to splurge for Welds, but it is starting to seem like the Summit Stars are a better buy.

yeah summit fronts are 4.5 pounds heavier than welds, i think i lost 18 pounds per wheel going from factory 16x8's and 245/50's to the 15x4's and 165/80 VW tires. 36lbs is a significant lose off the nose and unsprung centrifical weight. the extra 9 pounds plus actual front runner tires would be even less weight still. and worth it in a drag only setup. but not worth the extra dough for a street car IMO. its a signifacant loss as is. and since most have bigger than 16x8's on there cars that would be even further gains. plus a solid cast wheel is much stronger than the two piece welds for street driving. the welds tend to warp and get out of round if you drive them aggressively on the street.....

The 15x10 does not have the 7.5" bs which we need for our cars from what I understand.

with the jegs or summit rears you have to go with 6.5 backspacing. some dont like it. it sticks out just a **** hair. i like the look. i think 7.5's without a spacer is tucked too far. 7in is about perfect, but thats not an option from any of them. there are some good pics of 6.5bs wheels floating around if you want to search them out

Anyone running 26" m/t drag radials on a 15 X 8 summit star. I don't want a 28" tire and M/t says you need a 8.5 rim for these tires. Anybody have first hand knowledge of this???

I will get some today before I swap my Fikse's back on. I'm running a 28x11.50R15 ET Street with a 15x10 6.5" Summit Star. I think they look great and don't stick out. I rolled the fenders and haven't had any rubbing issues at all.

A 6.5" bs 15x10 looks better on a trans am than a camaro because the trans am quarter panels are flared out more than the camaros are.

Also, on the Prostar/Summit Star weight issue, I had a guy show up yesturday with cash and he bought the Prostars before I could weigh them. Sorry guys
