Default Burnout damage ?

What happens if I do a burnout until a tire pops? Do I hvae enough time to stop the wheels before screwing up a rim, or would I really loose control of the car?

I don't think that your tire will pop. My buddy has done some pretty f-ed up burnouts with regular tires(non performance) and they usually will start to come apart or will just rip a hole and go flat. I would never do any burn out that long on a nice looking car.

Body damage could be rather extensive, depending on how the tire tears apart.

Hmmmm I have a pair of 16 in wheels with some worthless tires on them. Do they usually come apart and sling around, or just deflate and let the rim spin inside the flat tire?

Actually why not just do it. Let us know how it turns out. It's your car. If you want to risk f'ing it up go for it. Better yet have someone video it.

I would think that once you got to the metal cords that the burnout would not be as smokey and impressive as you think its gonna be. I would not risk burning them to a point where the tire could come apart. Just burn the hell out of them and throw them away, do not risk taking it TOO FAR. As always video tape it though if you do.

A buddy of mine used to have an old Gran Prix and he would do a one-wheel-wonder burnout until the tire blew. The tires were just plain old street radials and they would smoke and finally boom! He stopped spinning as soon as he heard the boom.

By no means am I giving you instructions on how to do this. I am mearly telling you what happended to a friend. Should you attempt this and something goes wrong, I don't hold any responsibilty.

Good Luck!
