Default Nitto or Toyo?

My tire shop can only get me Toyo Proxie T1R's for my vette, here are the prices mounted and balanced:
Front: $258/each
Rear: $348/each

I can get Nitto Invo's on Discount Tire for:
Front: $165/each
Rear: $271/each

But my shop (since I'm not buying them from him) would have to charge about $30/each to have them mounted and balanced and old tires thrown away.

What should I go with? It's around a 700rwhp car, so I don't expect the rears to last very long...

well with that power no tire besides a full slick will give much traction.
i would go with the invo's there cheaper will ride better and look mean.
i got a buddy with the toyo's on a 06 gto with 18in wheels and he said he had no foward grip.
i say invo's

How do you use your car most often? I love the nitto dr's. Awesome lateral grip and hook extremly well at the strip. I launched my car from 6k after heating them up for about 5 sec with NO tread pattern left what so ever.... and they hooked perfectly.

if you dont see much time at the strip though, Id check out a nice road race tire.

this car wont be at the track more than a few times a year, I just need something that will handle good and be cheap to replace the rears, since those are going up in smoke!

I have a set of Nitto 555R's for my WS6, but now I just put some M/T's on there for the track days

u also could look into the new nitto nt05 they just came out with.
since you dident say what size u need u can look up the sizes at the nitto site.
from what i have seen there not much more than the regular 555's.

I run the Toyo's for my street wheels and I like them. They're quiet and ride pretty smooth for 18" tires. You can definitely buy them cheaper online. Try tiredeals4less.
