I was wondering how safe it is to widen rims. I was wanting to take some 17x9.5's and widen them to 11 inches. How safe would this be? I will be doing some road racing and some trips to the drag strip on them and also my car get's around 20K miles a year, just for some info on what they will go through. What do you guys think? Anyone done this that has first hand experience.
