Default Help with wheel measurements

Ok, trying to decide what's the widest wheel I can get on the rear of my 67 Camaro with stock suspension. I have drum brakes. I measured from the face of the hub to the very egde of the 1/4 panel and got 6in. I then measured from the face of the hub to as far as I could go before hitting the shock and got 2.5in. Total I have about 8.5in of wheel I can use. What kinda offset or reverse offset would I need to have accomplish getting the widest wheel in there I can. These measurements are conservative to make sure I clear everything and have room for tires. Thanks for any help anyone can give.
