I remember back in the '80's you could get them and their copies almost for free at swap meets, times change. My dad had a set of Sprints on his '40 Chevy coupe back in the late 80's, most people thought they looked dated at the time but I always liked the way they looked.
They were really good looking wheels, and I had a set of them on the '71 Chevelle SS that I had from '71-'73. Put them on the '73 GTO that I had after the Chevelle.
However, in order to look really good, they had to have the "deep dish" look, and with the FWD offsets of the fourth gen wheels, you can't really get them all that deep. For some reason, those wheels were ALL made with a 3.75" backspacing, and any additional width beyond the basic 7" wide rim, was added to the street side of the rim, be it an 8.5" rim, a 10" rim, or possibly a 12" rim, as I seem to recall that one of the companies made them up to that width.
