thought on this idea
ok, so i have 17x9.5 z06 motorsports and recently got a 3rd gen 12 bolt- slapped on some 1.5 inch wheel spacers- about 5 hours of banging and grinding- and my car is fine
now that im thinking about it- could i go with some 15" rims (also black) with the correct backspacing (4 inches?) and 10 inch wide so i can run 315 if i so choose- i would liek to do this without any grinding since i have lt1 brakes in the rear
that being the first part of the idea- what if i put like an et street in the rear and some street tire like 195mm wide and a treadwear rating of like 600 in the front
hows my idea?

So to get this clear . . . your post is confusing . . .
You have a 98 Z . . .
You got a rear axle out of a 3rd gen Camaro installed in your 4th gen?
You want to put 315's on your car . . .
You need to "design" a custom wheel to fit the "new" axle . . . you will get a nice deep lip that is for sure.
15" drag wheels are not my cup of tea . . .

basically i want to run a 15" rim with the correct backspacing on my car- which is a 98 Z with a 3rd gen rear- it currently has 17x9.5 with stock ls1 BS with 1.5 inch spacers and alot of hammering on the inner fender (and i want the 15" rim to not rub at all without the spacer and be 10" wide)
