I called them last Tuesday morning @ 8am to order a set of 18/19 wheels. Before paying I asked the representative if there would be any issue with UPS ground delivering the wheels to me in NC by Friday. The representative said the wheels would go out Tuesday for sure. Since OE is in FL and the UPS ground transit time is two days he said there would be no issue and that I would definitely get them.

I needed the wheels by Friday as my car was on jack stands because I sold my other wheels last weekend. I got an email from OE on Wednesday and included in the body of that email it stated that all orders are shipped within 10 business days. This prompted me to call AGAIN to confirm that the wheels had been shipped and that I would get them by Friday. I let it go at that.

I work 200 miles from here and leave Sunday and then return home Friday night. This means that my car will be on jack stands for another week. It was supposed to get tuned by my good friend and tuner this week after he put the rest of the break in miles on it.

Bottom line...........if TWO different OE wheel reps had been straight up with me I could have made different arrangements to get some wheels and get my car back on the road. Now I have a set of tires from discount tire (who shipped them Wednesday from TX) that arrived on Friday via UPS ground BUT no wheels to put them on.

I know OE is a LARGE company and I believe that causes them to have the impression they are not suceptible to the negative comment from a FEW consumers. Well I will do my best to get the word out there that they are not operating as they should. I am sure me cancelling one wheel order would not have negatively effected a huge company like that but my negative comments may.

This is the first that i have heard or seen this thread or i would have commented earlier. I'm not sure what happened to your particular order as it was over 7 months ago, but i can assure you that it was an accident. we would never intentionally decieve a customer like that. maybe the rep had the wrong info when you called back the second time or confused you with someone else I'm not sure, and I'm not trying to make excuses either. The bottom line is that it should not have happend. We strive everyday to make sure every order is perfect and gets out on time. If anyone ever has a problem with their order or service please contact me directly at 866.273.3651 ext 303 Scott

I have not yet ordered from them, but i have friends who have. Their order was delievered timely, and the customer service was spot on. I also think Scott coming on here, attempting to adress the issue, and giving his direct line out should show that they arent trying to hide anything, and that they want to fix any issues that may arrise. But even if they did mess up the original order, everyone is human, mistakes do happen, and they are NEVER at a good time. Just my .02

This is the first time I have seen this thread. I'll contat the OP and see what's up, but it's been a while. Strange that this was posted in after that much time had passed.

^^^ I ordered a set of wheels from Scott last year and I couldn't have been happier. I had him send out one wheel from the set so I could test fit it over a brake set up. the wheel showed up damaged (by UPS). they took the wheel back no questions asked and sent out my set of 4 wheels double boxed to prevent further issues. Everything showed up when he said it would.

Eh, had a similar problem as the OP a while back. I had to have the wheels I ordered within a certain time frame in order to transport my vehicle to my new house with the rest of my belongings. I was asked for and was promised a certain time frame. I made sure the saleman understood the urgency and that I didn't want to buy them unless they will arrive in time. The wheels showed up 3 days late which is why I ended up driving 700 miles through the Pennsylvania snow with slicks and skinnies. I have pictures. I then had to return the wheels since my only reason for buying them was to transport the car, I still had to pay full shipping back and a restock fee.

However I was told the person who made the promise was fired, although it didn't help me out in any way.

Perhaps OE Wheels has changed their ways.

sounds like you created a tough situation for yourself and then expected someone else to get you out of a jam. your expectations were not very realistic.

Yeah... if you need something right away, NEVER order it over the internet. There are too many variables.... IT hardware and software problems, damaged inventory, power and system failures, misrouted order fulfillment, misrouted carrier, transportation delays, etc, etc, etc...

The only sure way to make sure you can get something in your hands by the time you need it is to go down to the brick and mortar storefront and pick it up yourself. Dont be stupid.

Stupid......... really. If the vendor had told me that it "may" get there or that it probably would not make it I would not have ordered. Your mother doesnt call you stupid because you didnt make it past the 8th grade so dont call me stupid for believing an established vendor when they make a promise to deliver goods. Thanks dick

when were they ordered?
when did they ship?
when were they delivered?
did you pay for expedited delivery?

how was it "made right"?

Bringing this up and rehashing this 9 month old story is not helping anyone. we realize we made a mistake. we are not perfect nor do we claim to be. bottom line is we didnt deliver the items when we told the customer they would be there. I dont know why they didnt get there on time and it was so long ago that i cant find out why. It is time to move on. I think all of the positive endorsements on ls1tech and there are thousands of them out way the bad. every company no matter how big or small is going to have a problem creep up, thats just doing business, and unfortunately we didnt handle this particular claim correctly and we are sorry for that. we learn from our mistakes, and no one is promised a delivery date any more just and approx. delivery date. We appreciate everyones support and business.

If you have any problems, questions, or concerns please pm me directly.

my point was trying to show that maybe the problem was not your fault, and the the OP had unreasonable expectations.
I take it from your response that it was your fault, so I'll let it go.

If someones ***** is still bleeding from this after this long maybe they need to put another tampon in. This deal has been done for a while now & there is no need to keep cryin over it.
