Default New wheels

I'm looking to get some new wheels for my ride but can't decide which to get yet. I'm leaning toward AR torq thrust or maybe some ZO6 in 17x11s out back and 17x9.5 in the front. I had someone tell me that if I put the 17x11s on with 315s that they would rub. Is this true? I haven't lowered my car but plan on it soon, would this be a factor? What backspacing would I need?

You can't get the Z06 in 17x11, just the ZR1. They will rub the inner fender a little. I took a hammer to mine and painted with some undercoating. Can't even tell. The bump stops have to be trimmed too.

What about the fender edge, did you have to roll it? I was told that I would have to roll it so when the suspension travels the tire won't be cut by the edge.

If the isn't lowered, you should be okay. If its lowered, then yes, you may have to roll the fender lips. I lowered mine 1" so I rented a fender roller for $75. Took maybe 30 minutes, super easy and you can't even tell it was done unless you look into the fenderwell.

I'd personally lokk into getting AR Torq Thrust II's, they look awesome on a Firebird.

Available in 17" x 9.5" and 17" x 11", with about a 44 mm offset. KILLER!
