Black C5 Z's (Pics)
If you were following my other thread I have got the rear wheels on the car finally. They are C5 Z06 style wheels satin center/gloss lip. Rear size is 18x10.5 wrapped in 295 size BFG's. Pictures are crappy due to weather but i'll get some better ones soon.
Stripes on the hood are coming off, lights will be tinted and the car will be lowered all by January.

I really think its the contrast of those wide 295 DR style tire vs a 255 european style tire. The rim is 241.3mm and the tire is 255mm. If you type in vredestein ultrac sessanta in google images you will see that they all have that look to them.

LOL. wow what a striking resemblance. it's better for when I go rock crawling
Well we are on the same page. Except that i wont go that dark with the tint. I am leaning towards 35%, dark, but not crazy. I like to see out my rear window at night

front tires look too small for the rim but i get what your saying about vredestein they tend to give that look. My brother in law has the same problem. Looks clean and the rear tires look great!!

I did drive it once and the steering response is soo much better over stock. Also the steering feels a lot lighter. My dad actually has a C5 Z06 that has the steins on all fours and I have pushed the car really hard on those tires and they just track really well and show no sign of breaking loose. Although I would not recommend them for the rears since i could light them up really easily hence why for my car I stuck DR's out back

This is for those who think the front tires are too small:
I think the rim protector on the front tires make them look smaller in the pictures but in real life they look fine.

35% is plenty dark. I have it on my car, and it's fine. Going much darker sucks, because you can't see **** at night. Not everyone needs the, "windows so dark you needs a flashlight to see", master P look.
Umm, no he's not stuck in the 21st century. I think it looks odd too, as well as other have noted. I have 285s on my car, and they have that same look. It just looks like the tire is too narrow for the wheel. You don't want a convex look, you want the tire to look just as wide as the wheel.
