295/35R18's
295/35R18's Will I have to make any modifications to get these tires to fit the rear with 18x10.5 Z06 rims with a 53mm offset? The car is a hardtop SS.
I asked a body shop about rolling the fender lip for me and they said it could change the shape of the fenders and wasn't a good idea. They have me worred.

Could someone explain how to roll them? They seem to think that its hard to do. They said something about it being welded right there. They also said it would probably change the shape of the fender. I don't know if they just don't want to do it or if they are afraid they will mess something up.
I never - NEVER had a problem on my SS with 18" x 10.5" and 295/35ZR18 tires rubbing the wheel well lip.
The only problem you may have is the tire making contact with the INNER wheel well, near the bumpstop.
AS for your body shop it sounds like they want to "flair" your wheel well, rolling a quarter lip has ABSOLUTELY no affect on the general look of the car, it just gently bends the lip that points horizontally into the wheel well upwards, but like I said it won't need to be done, not on a 53 mm offset wheel.

I sure hope your right Xsta Z28, anyone else? The body shop said the fenders were welded there and if you tried to bend the lip it would probably make the outside look wavy. I think I'm going to go ahead and order them and do what had to be done when they come in. Thanks for the help.

I rolled my fenders on my 2000 with a baseball bat and it did not warp or bend the fenders at all. Doesn't matter, you won't have to anyway, those Z06 wheels sit a bit inside the wheelwell.
