Default Those with Bogarts, which lugnuts are you using?

I was just curious if I needed to use a particular lugnut for Bogarts. I wanted to use a chrome, closed type lug nut. I didnt know if I could use the ones that I use for my chrome 10 spoke SS wheels. Im not sure if one brand is better than the other, but let me know what you use or what you recommend and please list part numbers and where I can get them. By the way, for future reference, the numbers listed with a lugnut, how do you read them and how do I know which ones are for my car or rim? Thanks.

They are specific. There is no manufacture whom produces the CORRECT open lug for an LS1 specific rim. We custom mill them to fit. You cannot use the stock 60 degree angle lugs, drag rims are shank style. We can custom cut the lugs to accept the stock lugs but this is not a desirable thing to do regarding strength. If you want a closed lug, I can make a few recommendations to you, e-mail me if you need additional help.

I ordered mine with my Bogarts (open lug), and received regular old unmachined standard ST-style shank. Only later do I find out that they were incorrect (after the ends of them were all boogered up).

Ah well. It was so close, it depended on the thickness of the washer I used.

I ground them down on the bench grinder, they work OK now. So yes, the lugs do need to be slightly shorter than the ST-style lugs, but a thick washer and some bench grinder time will work in a pinch.

Andrew,

I realize your purchase of rims were awhile ago...Regarding your purchase, satisfied customers are very important to us. We are more then just a company whom pushes sales for high volume, throwing aside the personal assistance.

Bogart and I personally are commited to providing quality workmanship with outstanding support. Although we cannot satisfy everyone, we try to do our best.

If you would like us to rectify your situation, please e-mail me directly at
