i dont see any point in a road hazard thing. a plug or patch should only cost around $5 to get it done. you can do a plug yourself with a kit and save even more money.

How much do they want for the road hazard? I've bought it in the past on a set of Goodyear F1 GSD3's on my other car, and was very very happy when one of the sidewalls started bulging from a broken steel belt and they replaced it no questions asked...but in that case, the tires were $200 each, and the road hazard was like $10 a tire...so it was only 5% of the total price.

So you do them yourself and know there's nitrogen in them, good for you. The advice you were giving on the thread though, would probably lead a lot of people to go to a tire shop and waste their money on more expensive compressed air.

Swear at someone else "pal".

Ok,

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I'll post up when I make my final decision and take some pics of the ride when I get it rolling again.

What about my 3 original choices for a good street radial?

anybody have opinions of these 3? pics?
I don't know who makes them, but they suck (the ride quality/noise is terrible). My car came with them when I bought it Fuzion ZR-1 or whatever they call them...275's. The only reason I haven't replaced them already (i've only had the car for seven months) is that they have ~90% tread remaining. Just spend the extra money and get a good/mainstream tire.

my advice in the thread.......like YOU quoting me saying "what little difference it makes, its less affected by temp. and is dryer." who would ever take that to mean they should run out and get nitro in their tires??? if youre THAT easily swayed ive got plenty of other things to sell you then nitrogen.

I wound up going with the Firestone Wide Ovals. I did an online quote and called the shop the online thing referred me to. The guy took 15% off each tire and knocked off 10 bucks from the alignment. Got out of there for $720, but skipped on the road hazard.

So far I like the them, but there is a funny lip design to them. These are not glamor shots, but what do you think? They are the same size as what came off.

I run wide ovals...they're good in the rain, decent in the dry, a little noisy, but they've lasted a long time, I'm happy with them for a daily driver.
