New tires that look crazy!!!

I saw something in a magazine about a year or two ago on those. Dont require any air as you can tell by their construction. Might be o.k. on a daily driver, but I wouldnt try to corner hard with them. They dont look like they could handle that.

Well, except for the part where they don't work for realistic automotive purposes, they're pretty sweet.
These were announced at the 2005 detroit auto show, and have since been cut from R&D iirc.
They had excessive vibration over 50mph or so, and terrible wear characteristics due to their uneven pressure patterns on the tread.
As far as low speed turning goes, they work exceptionally well, by the way. They're entirely a truss structure, which means they're extremely stiff laterally.
