Remember, this is a Radial Tire, you need to run a little more, basically as much as the tire will allow with out breaking loose.

Depending on your entire set up, the PSI requirement will change. Manual vs Auto, Stock gears vs 3.23+, Stock supension vs Modifed, Stock Power vs Bolt on/Cam only/ or more.

I'd try 20 in the rear, make the fronts rock hard. Burn out, stage and see where it gets you. The more PSI you can run will benefit ET and MPH on the back half.

Edit:

To further clarify my point, on my Old 94 Z28 383 LT1 car with a 2800 stall, 3.23's NO SUSPENSION on a 245/50-16 Nitto I was cutting low 1.7's and running 26 PSI as when I had lowered it (to around 19-20), the car cut no better 60 Foot and ran slower by 2-3 mph consistantly.

Then tossing similar DR on my 2002 T/A with a M6 and a great deal of suspension + 4.10's and these melt and blow off with very little effort or wheel hop at best.

Every set up requires Testing and Tuning.

so would a manual with full rear suspension need more or less pressure? id really like to fine tune it but every time i go, its packed and i probably wont get enough runs in to fine tune it.

I run my car at 24 PSI, not 26, not 22-exactly 24...thats where I had most traction with my 315's...just experiment and see what works for you...
