A quick Mickey Thompson question...

I know the general rule of thumb is that correct tire fitment is + or - 1" in difference from the wheel width, but Mickey Thompson's website says that a 295 tire (MT ET Street II's) would fit a 9.5" rim. I was wondering if this tire:

3745R P295/45R17 28X11.50R17 33 R2 9.5-11.0 10 11.6 10.6 27.2 85

Would fit a 17x9.5 ZR1 rim?

OR

Would the largest tire to safely use be a 285, as I read in the stickies.

Yes I have it on a 10.5 there site says 9.5 - 11

It'll look better on a 9-10" wheel. Tried it on a 10.5" TTM and wasn't too pleased with how they fit that wheel.

a little smaller width wheel will give you a bit more of that nice sidewall bubble that you really want so you gotta remember that

295/45/17 ET Radial II on a 17 x 9.5 AR Rebel

i love them and will run no other street tire unless they make a 305/45/17. they hook reaaaal nice @ 15-17 psi too (sub 1.55 60's came only 410s with 60K mile stock suspension)
