Default Problems with Traction and Nitrous
Can anyone give me any recommendations on some new tires for my rear? My car is a weekend street car with nitrous that maybe sees track time twice a year. Ever since I've been using nitrous, I cant keep the rear end from spinning out. There are 275's on the rear now and their street tires. Thanks

I'd go with the nitto drag radials I got like 10k out of mine...They hook great on the street but the track is another story....

How wide of a tire can I go with without having to do modifications? There are 275's on there now.

get you a set of M/T et streets radials 275s...they run wider than nittos and bite really nice. They don't do too bad in the rain either. If you by any chance get to check out the Toyo proxies Tq, check them out....they have better tread life and hook really good from what I heard. I just ordered a set today for my wheels, but I'll be running 315s.

You can go to a 315. Thats the biggist I have seen on a stock rear. But the rims and tires are going to cost you.

I have 315/35/17's nitto 555R's and they hook great on the spray on the street and track with a 3600 stall. However I have about 13K on them and they are pretty much a slick down the middle now.... I am trying to research myself if any 315 street tires will hold a 100 shot bolt on car...

Agree with everything but the rain part. My brother totalled his car driving 30mph in the rain on ET Street Radials. I was behind him, just following him back to the shop, and the car just went sideways right into a pole, wasn't being stupid or anything, just driving normal and hydroplained.
