I have a 2000 ta that sits about 10 months out of the year. Tires that r on it are cracked all over. I'm about to drop another 1300 on some new ones. Anybody know how to keep tires in good shape while car is garaged ?

that just happens after time theres nothing really that can be done.
i have seen people put some carpet under the tires i guess that helps with the flat spots/
the cracking just happens over time even if the car is driven.
just a sugestion but i wouldent waste 1300 on tires just to have the sit there and rot you can get tires(varys with size of course)much cheaper.
i dont drive my car all that much eather and i have nitto drags on the back and there kind of a waste and i dont really drive hard unless im at the track which recently has been almost never.
i can get some nexen 275 40 17's for about 350-400 to my door and since i dont drive hard they serve there purpous.

Man you do have a point on getting cheaper tires, when I do drive the thing, it's usually with a heavy foot going out of town. Have any suggestions and a cheaper tire that would hold up ?
