Using s10 blazer rims for DRs?

Using s10 blazer rims for DRs? Has anyone done this? If not, is there a reason why? They are 15"x8," with 6" of backspacing.

look for 15 inch steelies from late 90's with slots around outer rim. i used them on my 02 with 255 60 15 MT's. fit fine, but stick out about 1/2 to 1 inch. bought cheap, sprayed black and ran them. i had pics but are lost on my old dead laptop
