Default Polished or Chrome

1. Which is better material wise?
2. Which is easier to take care of?
3. Which will last longer?

I'm seriously debating between BC Timeless 2s (if Todd ever gets back to me), Smoothie 2s, and Chrome ROH RTs. I need something that will hold up to daily driving abuse and easy to keep clean.

Of course, anything is easier to keep clean than my painted 10 spokes.

Thanks

I've had both over the years, and chrome is far easier to take care of in terms of cleaning, IMO. I also like the look of chrome wheels better. But looks is totally subjective so that part is up to you.

As for which finish will last longer looking good, I'd guess that would depend on the quality of each finish from new.

1. They are both basically the same material aluminum. the material or quality will depend more on the maker and also how they are made.
2. Chrome is easier to take care of. you just wipe down the wheel and it's clean. but polished wheels you actually have to polish.
3. a polished wheel will last longer because all chrome wheels will eventually peel. also with a polished wheel if you get a little curb rash etc you can take it out and you won't have to worry about having them sent off to be re-dipped etc.

Yep, what he (NiceTry) said...

I've had both now. Chrome wheels look more like a showcar to me, where as polished wheels look more like a race car...
:dunno:
