need help with new tries Hey guys, i got a 99 Hugger Orange Camaro i just bought black C5 Z06 rims for it, their the 17x9.5 version. but before i get them on i need to figure out what tires to put with them. the sales manager recommended the BG GForce super sports AS, but now that im looking it seems like Continental Extreme contact DW seems like a lot better tire for all most the same price any body have any suggestions? looking to stay around this price and i live in Florida so i don't really need AS tires. thanks

I just put the BFG on last week and they seem to be pretty good. I do have a fair bit of tramlining, but the discount tire rep said that you have that with any symetrical tread pattern in a tire that wide. As far as reviews and tests go, the continental is the better tire on wet and ice and snow, but the BFG is far superior on dry pavement.

I have the Super Sports. I was considering the KDW, but I had wanted something that would be okay in freezing weather and in the once or twice a year snow and sleet we get here in Atlanta. If I was in Florida like you, I would definitely run summer tires.
By the way I am running 275's on 18x9.5 rims.
I am suprised that Rudy@tirerack is recommending the Conti since their own testing shows that it is one of the worst performing tires in it's class on dry pavement.

I had BFG G-Force Sports on the car and swapped them out for Bridgestone 760's in the rear, 295/35 18. They are great so far, grip is awesome. Like any other tire, just don't do anything stupid in the rain. I'm about to order them for the fronts too.
