Wheel protection during alignments?

Wheel protection during alignments? Just another quick post... Any good steering and suspension guys or sponsors in here know of any alignment accessories or tips to stick in the alignment heads "rim" specific to not damage or scuff wheels when they're tightened on the rim for alignments? Maybe a polymer or plastic, non-marring tip? Or am I limited to the stuff Hunter makes? Thanks.
I had my truck aligned with my winter wheels, so it wouldnt screw up the finish on my nice ones. I know thats not "proper" but as long as both sets of wheels are true, i dont see any issue with it.
When my buddy was at the dealership and aligned my car we wrapped the tips in electrical tape. I didn't really care or think anything would happen without the tips wrapped but my buddy suggested we cover them to not scratch the wheels.
