There are few wheels you can widen towards the front. That requires cutting the face of the wheel from the barrel and adding material to front of the barrel. This would keep backspacing the same but you would be welding on the front side of the wheel.

Those look great on the car!!
Thinking about doing the same to these....
They are the new rally's at Year One 17"
They come in a 9" width.
Would like to have the rears have an additional 2" as well...

Offset is measured from the middle of the wheel as opposed to backspacing which is measured from the backside of the wheel. My wheels were widened by two inches on the rear of the barrel. Since offset is measured from the centerline of the wheel you split the difference and the mounting pad only "moved" 1inch or 25.4mm away from it's original position. The adapter is needed because my widened 17x11 have a 75.4mm postive offset or almost 8.5" of backspacing. The one inch adapter moves the wheel outward to sit in the wheel well more like a 17x11 with a 50mm positive offset.
You pay for everything after Weldcraft completes the work. Once the wheels are done they figure shipping back to you and add it to your invoice before you pay. Turnaround time is usally 2-3weeks. My wheels were done in about three weeks not including shipping to and from Weldcraft.
I posted their website earlier in this thread. The site answered a lot of my question when I was deciding if I wanted to go this route.
