race star lug ?

race star lug ? so i am one the fence about these wheels, i was about to order them until i found out they were a uni-lug rim.......so my question is what do the lug/washers look like, and have any of you had an issue with them coming loose?

I ran them on my car back in the day. I had a hell of a time putting them on and removing them. They do use a "one oblong hole fits all" pattern, leaving the centering of the wheel to be done with an offset washer per bolt pattern. This in my mind does not sit very safe at high speeds. I'd look into Welds, Bogarts, or Billet Specialties, either three of those wheels use a direct fit bolt pattern using the shank itself to center the wheel, instead of relying on the washer to do it. It's just like grinding calipars..plenty of people do it..but I feel much safer going 140+ mph not having that thought in the back of my head.

yeah, im with you, my uncle had issues with uni-lug rims back in the 80's(i know its probably deferent technology) but lost a 69 vette(supercharged 454,4 speed...sick) into a tree, and he got all jacked up from it, he was driving like an a@@ but still, conical seat is my prefrance. love the blue camaro in the pic man, its tough as hell looking.
Guys if you use a hub centric washer what difference does it make? With an offset washer or a standard washer on a non uni lug wheel it's just holding the wheel on, I fail to see the safety concern.
