315/30/18 help!!
I am having trouble finding 315/30/18 sized STREET tires for a decent price. I have OEwheels DD c5s 18x10.5 rears. I bought my hankooks v12 for $135 from tirerack a little over a year ago. Now that my tires have less than 40% tread left im looking go new tires. But i refuse to pay $450+ for high end tires. Any I do far driving so Drag radials are out of the question. If i dont find tires that fit my rims, I will just buy another set of rims and tires that are more common size, 18x9.5s or something. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's where I get my tires from. On your front porch in 3 days. I think I can link them since they are a site sponsor:

Tire choices are limited in 315/30/18 and will run you 250+ per tire which sucks. I would go on eBay, some people have bought the Toyo R888 in this size for 300 shipped for a pair.
Otherwise I would pay for what you can find now. I think you would probably spend almost the same amount if you decide tobuy another wheel size like a 18x9.5 and and a set of tires.
I have the Falken Azenis 615K which are the redesigned ones, not the 615 that was discontinued and sold for 55 a tire at Vulcan. Wish I could have grabbed some of those though!

I got caught in the rain last week in my 315/30/18 R888s (275/40/17 GS-D3s in front) and had NO problem with traction. I even pushed them a little to see where the limit was with traction control on and the light never came on.

I've got a pair of the R888s from the ebay seller mentioned above. I've yet to drive the car in the rain (just got them on last week, and try and avoid rain), but these things hook great! Handle like a street tire and hook better than a BFG drag radial, I personally couldn't ask for more, esp for the price.

Thanks everyone for the input. i will definately check the tires mentioned above!! Im trying to stay away from 295/35/18. Dont reeally like the "stretched" look although i hear the BFG KDW2s run wide for a 295. preferably would like 315s. im spoiled looking at fat wide rear tires. lol. Thanks again

These are the tires I'm going with(because I'm a cheap ****..), they will be going onto 10.5 C5 DDs front and rear. 285/35R18s, 9.5-11" rim.

The stretched look comes from running rims that are wider than the tires, a 295 is still over an inch wider than a 10.5 rim. Most 315s list an 11" wide rim being the minimum width you should run, so going down a few sizes isn't going to come near the stretched tire look.

Here are my 295/35r18 Bridgestone Potenza RE760's on my c5 18x10.5's that I had. Maybe the bridgestone's run wide, but as you can see, its a 295 and its not stretched much if any.
