Tire size question

Ok so the rear tires I'm getting are 335/30zr/18 for the back and 285/30zr/18 for the front. Now on tire rack it say the tire dia for the rears are 25.8 and the fronts are 24.9. Does that mean there not the same height tires. I thought the 30/18 pretty much ment they would be the same height?

Also a ot load ranges what is need for a firebird cause I notice the fronts have less load rating then rears do

What you are missing is that the 2nd numbers are a relationship to the tread width (30% as tall as the tread width 225mm, etc.) So as the tread width changes so does the 30%.
