Default Odd "feeling" from front tires...

I recently swapped my stock steering wheel for an aftermarket steering wheel. The aftermarket wheel is lighter, and feels like it provides more feedback. Since the swap, I'm getting an odd "feeling" that feels feels like it's coming from the front tires. When I turn the wheel while driving (it's more noticeable at highway speeds), there's some slight resistance that increases as the wheel turns further off-center, and then the resistance goes away after a certain point. I'm wondering if I'm feeling the tires "roll over", or if it's something else. I don't feel the resistance when the car is not moving. The car feels stable while driving.

In October, when I had my Koni/Strano setup installed. The car has been fine since then. The change in steering feel only happened after I changed steering wheels. Everything was installed properly and torqued to the correct specs when I installed the new steering wheel.
