Default Bump Stop Clearance options?

I have some deep dish TT2's and a 9in rear shortened 1.5 in on each side and when I jack my car up the wheels or tires will rub on bumpstop. This kind of has me worried about me hitting a bump and possibly having it wear through my tires.

What do you guys do to stop this?

I did a search but couldn't come up with anything.

Thanks!

I know back in the day on my 95 Z the 17x11 Zr1 wheels it had would do the same thing when the suspension hung from being jacked up but I never had that problem driving on the street because most of the time the tire is being pushed up into the quarter panel and not downward. But I know Most people remove the bumpstops, If you don't want to go that option you might need to use the BFH mod, run spacers or get a different backspacing for the wheels.

Cheapest route would be just to remove them if it's a issue.

Thanks man, you think you could damage anything if they were removed on a daily driver?

What do you mean by BFH mod?

Not a good idea to remove them, especially on a daily driver. Your axle could crash in to the frame instead on a rough surface, or big bump. Just have draw a line down the rear facing, and forward facing sides, grind the them till they are even with the inner fender. I had a friend do them at a machine shop, so they were perfectly smooth.

Damage anything? Well anything is possible! but 99% of the time there worn and broken to begin with.

If you think about it when you hit a bump the tire is being pushed upward which means the bump stop is going towards the center of the wheel not towards the tire side. I don't think you will run into any issues while driving on the street but thats me.

Here you can see my Slicks are close to the bump stop on my car and get hung up with it in the air but normal driving on the street it doesnt make contact.

I cut mine down with a dremel until it cleared the tire. Then grinded it a bit to make it smooth.
