wheel width
Want to keep my SS looking pretty much stock, but want to go with chrome
zr1's from painted zr1's. I have new Nitto nt05r's on rear 275-40/17's. Nitto says tire's will fit 11 in wheels which is what I want on the rear, but when I go to order wheels OE says thats to wide for 275's and say if I launch the car at all I will slip the tire off the wheel then they start to try to sell me new tire's. So I called Nitto and they tell me that the 275 nt05 is rated to fit a 9 to 11 inch wheel so 11in would be fine as long as the wheel is a true 11 with no variance . what do you think?

This is all you need to read. I have 275/35 NT-05's on my 18x9.5 and I would never in a million years stretch them past a 10" wide rim.
