TT2 wheels (yup, another question!!!)

Do the torque thrust 2s on the blackbird ( http://www.gmmginc.net/html/blackbird.html# ) have an american racing part number or are they painted at gmmg and only available there? Does ARE offer them in that colour because I didn't see it on their site. I really like the colour.

GMMG has them painted. ARE used to paint them but GMMG did not like the quality, so they stopped.

This is what your looking for: ARE CL205
The centers are Magnesium Gray powed coated .
ARE has the on their website under E-Shop
then under Torq-Thrust custom wheels.

This website list all the sizes an has a better
prices then ARE's site.

No, those are a magnesium textured coating and lighter than the picture shows because the pictures are black and white.

I tried to get them from AR but no go. Find a body shop to paint them for you - the spokes are gunmetal gray.

I am about to paint mine myself since most body shops don't want to do it.

Also wheel repair or painting shops will do it, but it's about $100 per wheel.

DaddySS is correct on the CL205 part number. I have those wheels and the spokes are not as dark as the ones on the GMMG cars, at least in the sunlight. I have pics of them here on my car if you want to see what they look like.

Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it. SebringSilverZ, you've given me alot to think about, I mean I like the gmmg wheels, but there's not much of a difference between your wheels and theirs. Its kick ***, pure vintage! By the way, what's the price of the CL205's from ARE and the ones from GMMG? CL205 is the ARE part number right
NavyBlueZ ? Cuz I checked the site and couldn't find it.

The part numbers for the wheels are as follows:
CL205-79563 - 17X9.5" TT2 Classic Wheel
CL205-711563 - 17X11" TT2 Classic Wheel

American Racing does not give a specific price for these size wheels in their "E-shop," but one of the board sponsors, Quick Time Performance, offers these wheels on their website for $340/per 9.5" wheel and $355/per 11" wheel. I paid considerably less than this for mine through a good friend at Discount Tire. Also know that the Classics are built to order so it will take about 6 weeks to get the wheels.

The GMMG's are regular TT2's that can be purchased from anywhere and you just have to find someone to paint them for you. Those wheels will probably run $50 cheaper a piece, but then add the cost of painting them.
