Best tire choice for wheels?

Best tire choice for wheels? Well i'm hoping my Torq Thrust II's will be dropped off sometime this coming week. But still haven't decided on what tires to wrap them in yet.

(2)17x11 -7.75bs
^ Are the sizes, My car is in the "DD" category, I never take it to the strip. Mods are minimal. I'm wanting some tires that'll hook well on the street but are in my budget (1-175per tire). Will probably be going to a local tire shop (ie: discount tire/ect) to get them.
If anyone has opinions of what tires to wrap the TT2's feel free to post

good luck finding a good 315/35/17 tire for $175, they normally are at the low to mid $200 mark.
Your best best is some Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance. 275/40 up front and 315/35 in the back. Discount tire has a good deal and they price match to their discount tire direct warehouse!
