Question Spacer Question

So I have the OEM C6 18's in the front with the OEM tire size. No problems with them rubbing, etc. but I want them to be a little further out.

Whats the biggest spacer I can safely use with the stock wheel studs? I tried a 5/16 and it was too much so I was wondering if I anybody knew the answer to this....

Any reason not to just get some longer ARP bolts? Not hard to install at all.

I am using a wheel adapter on the rear wheels. It's a 1" from H&R and bolts to the rotor and has lug nut studs to attach your wheels. You should check out their site. http://www.hrsprings.com/

Not really just dont wanna get longer studs and have em too long to tighten down the lug nuts all the way. I have the lug nuts with the end caps on em so that may be a problem. Plus im tryin to do it on the cheap ha.

Ah, I see, well I run a eibach 15mm spacer (came with new longer studs) but I ended up getting ARP ones as well that are the correct length for the spacer so that I have no issues when I tighten the lugnuts, and I have the capped ones too.

I have some H&R spacers for-sale. You should buy them.

Haha you must have missed the "on the cheap" part. It bugs me but not THAT much haha. Plus I think 1" might be a little too much.. Oh well if nobody knows then I might just have to get the 5/16 spacer and some ARP studs...

the stock studs are short enough - any spacer that will fit and still allow you to use the factory lug nuts would be so thin, you wouldn't notice any visual difference

to be safe, get longer studs and/or adapter/spacers like Carlos is selling. If you still want to use your lug nuts, make sure the additional length to the studs is the same as the spacer you'll be using...
