on stock suspension z28. is a do-able? its for the rears...

I just mounted my 295/45/17 MT and they are pretty snug. I had to grind a little bit but it's different on every car. Most people claim 315s are the widest you can go without any modifications. I imagine with 335s you gotta BFH the inner wheel well or even grind down a bit. But it should be possible.

335 on a 17 is possible with, say, 17x11 zr1's. you'll only need to bfh where they rub.

my buddy had 335/30/18's on his z28 and it did take some bfh modding but they did fit. also he did need to roll the fender lips after the car was lowered i still would roll them on stock height because they did hit every once in a while. the 335/30/18 is the same size as a stock tire and just a little shorter than the size your mentioning btw

It'll take some "massaging" and fender rolling but definitely possible. Good luck finding 335/35/17 tires that aren't out the *** expensive though. I'd just stick with 315s, unless you went to a 18 or 19 inch wheel.
