Just got my Nitto NT555 285/40's installed today.
I got them at all four corners, but I have to say they look terrible in the front (So bad that I'm ashamed to even post pics of the front
). I plan to buy 275/40's for the front, next week, and I'm going to put these on the rear of my wife's '02 Formula w/ Firehawk wheels.
I have to say, they ride amazingly comfortable. I can definitely tell a difference over bumps that used to jar the hell out of me. It's by no means a Cadillac, but I can definitely tell a difference.
Eibach Pro Kit, also coming next week!![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Let me know what'chya think!

It may not look like much of a difference in the pic, but believe me, it is terrible looking. It's a very noticeable difference, compared to a 275. Makes the car look like an off-road vehicle. It doesn't look right at all. I think it's mainly because it's obviously wider, but because it's a 40 sized sidewall on a 285, it's a tad taller (.3 inches, I think) than a 275.
If you're considering them for your front, I'd advise against it.

Yeah, I definitely love the meatier rears. But, like I said, the fronts are gone next week. I was kind of in a win/win situation when I bought them. My wife's Formula is about to need some rears soon, so I knew that if the fronts didn't look good, I could always swap them over to her rears, and buy 275's for my fronts. Either way, I'm going to have to buy six tires (four for mine, two for hers). So, I thought, "Why not?" It's not a loss.
