Thats understandable then. I refuse to go higher than CCWs at $2700. $5000 is something you can spend if you drive a new Vette or exotic. The 18x10.5s are set really far in and not even close to flush.

So the 18 x 10.5's will sit pretty far in the well?

Do you know what size spacer will put it back to the proper position? I'll need some sort of spacer anyway because I'll be putting 325 sized tires on them.

So a 1" spacer will set it right?

I can't justify spending more money on rims than the car is worth.

No answers from OE Wheels through PM....I guess I'll order some painted rims....then have them stripped and chromed by experts. When I say experts, I mean a company that does $50,000 in chrome plating for a single yacht. The **** lasts for years and years....in salt water.

Same place thats gonna do my brake calipers and brackets.

Railings, ladders, anchor-guides that the chains slide on, trim around the water line that inlays into the hull, cletes that the ropes are tied to at the docks, even steering racks that are always submerged under water, etc....

Pretty much anything on the exterior for appearance. They did a friends yacht years ago, the stuff still looks like mirrors and it gets salt water spray each and every time it goes out.

Anyway....I PM'ed OEWheelsLance screen name........can you sell me C5 deep dish (2) 18x10.5 and (2) 18x9.5 wheels....without chrome, just blank?

yes it would as long as there prepped the correct way. they have to add copper then nickel then the chromium, but yep it would be fine.

My only problem with my wheels (well and the weight, but can't bitch for what I paid). I have 5/16" spacers in front(to clear) and they sit perfect, nothing in the rear and it looks like it would take about a 1/2 to 3/4 spacer to get them sitting flush, but I would have much rather had the right offset with a deeper lip from them. Either way, for $800 shipped for a set of 18 X 10.5s it was not possible to beat their prices, and I haven't had one person say anything bad about my wheels. It's actually usually the first thing someone says about it, "I really like those wheels!".

As far as finish, 3 out of the 4 have a perfect finish, one feels like something was on the rim when they did the chrome plating. There are little pieces of stuff sticking out here and there on it, not enough to see but you can feel them when cleaning it.

Now I have a question for whoever was talking about rain hurting them, is that true? Car is my DD now until I get my truck moved down from my parents place, so it does see some rain and only gets washed once a week, chrome polish on the wheels probably once every two to three weeks, so I hope I didn't hurt the life of them at all.

Can anyone comment on the customer service at OE wheels? Good or bad I'd like to hear about it. I just got my wheels from OE and love my rears but I feel I have made a big mistake with the fronts. The 17"'s just look too small on the car with there suggested tire of 265/40/17. I dont think I will ever be happy with this. Do you think they'll help me out to change them to 18's on all four corners? I sure hope they can help me with an exchange!

Nothing with their rims, just center caps. I ordered 4 and 3 of them had blemishes on them with 1 being totally unacceptable. I phoned and told them of the situation and I thought they should send 2 replacements so I would send the 2 worst ones back. Heck, the guy re-sent the entire order, no charge, did not want me to send the defective ones back either - to Canada! I told him I felt that just 2 would suffice but he would not hear of it! He went above and beyond what was req'd for sure! Needless to say, I feel their cust service is top notch! To be honest, I feel kinda guilty about the whole thing...
