Default Anyone ever fix some crap like this?

Well I was driving home the other night and didn't see this black hole of a pot hole. Ended up bending both pass side wheels and took chucks out of the tires. Plowed the pass. front into the fender and broke the lower mount and inner fender mounts along with screwed the camber up pretty good. Thought about having my ins. cover it but wondering if anyone has ever fixed anything like this themselves? Like it looks like I could strip the clear off the lips, straighten and sand the rash, and then buff it out. I was already thinking of stripping the clear off the lips so I can polish them to a higher luster. Wheels aren't bent, bent. Has no vibes up to 90mph. What do you guys think?

Yeah my friends cobalt rim, hit a nasty pothole and bent the lip a bit. Already had some curb rash like yours. We sanded it down smooth, hammer the lip to get it straight as possible. Took it to the tire place and had them balance it, checked out ok.

It can be fixed I've seen much worse. Might have given you an excuse to.narrow the fronts or widen the rears.

Is there any way you could get the city to pay for the damages? Due to their inadequate work.

There are kits to repair this stuff. Cleaner, filler, epoxy, sand, paint.

City could give two *****. I have heard of people trying to sue them over it. All they have to say is they never promised that the road surface would be perfect, they tried their best to keep up on them, and this is MI, it's full of potholes.

ADR Battle Exe's. They aren't that expensive, I already figured I would be replacing them. At this point I just kind of figure what's to lose?

I thought about this two, just buying a couple of new wheels and sending these out to be widening for use with DR's. Sucks that it coudn't just wipe out both rears lol. Give me an excuse to mount a set of DR's on those and just buy another set for the rears for street duty. Front's are 8.5" wide and rears are 9.5" wide.

Call around to your tire shops. They should know somebody to fix aluminum rims. I had my zr1s fixed. One was cracked in 3 spots and bent bad and the other ha horrible curb. After they were done, I never had another issue. Charged me 75 per rim to fix.

Talked with them, they told me flat out my rates would go up. I've had AAA for 4 years, paid them thousands in premiums, and they would raise them? I figure the total damage is only $900 or so. I shell out $500, they shell out $400 and then I pay it all back and then some with new premiums. I ******* hate insurance, what a joke. I have never once used insurance to fix anything.
