Has anybody seen.... Has anybody seen the new ET Street drag radial. I was at Autorama at Cobo last Sunday and a couple of the vendors had the tire on display. 17" ET Street Drag Radial. A whole lot less tread grooves than the Nitto DR and it really felt like a lot softer compound. I was talking to one of the vendors and asked about tire life, he said he had heard the tire was supposed to be good for 16000 miles. These look a lot better for traction at the track in both footprint patch and a soft compound. Both said the tire is expected to be released in April or May.

There is NO WAY this tire was made for mileage at all. The tires tread is so soft its not even funny. I think its the same compound as the ET Street tires with just a different carcus. I would be suprised to see anyone get 2000 miles out of a pair of these tires WITHOUT ever racing them, if you race them you would be lucky to get 1000 LOL. If you are looking for a mileage tire, this is not the tire for you, if you want something that hooks and is a radial, this is the tire for you! BFG and the Nitto are a harder compound so they might get you a bit more life from them then the MT tire but when it comes down to performace you wont beat the MT if you ask me
