need correct back space. please help! i'm looking at buying some billet specialties street lights 17x7 fronts and 17x9.5 rears for an 02 f body. i'm just wondering what would be the correct back space in inches for these sizes? thanks

should be 38,58mm offset, depending on how much of the tire you want under the car.. anywhere from 6.75 to 7.75 inches BS... you have about an inch to play with either way... generally the fitment on a rim the size you specified is 58mm offset and 7.75" BS...
Those are for the rear.. the front will fit the same sizes.. but people generally go with a slightly shorter BS but its totally up to you

anything within the specs I told you will work.. the variance is personal preference... it will also depend on the type of tire you run, some stick out past the rim more than others even though they are technically the same size tire... do not go past 8" back spacing.. that is about the most you can go and will most likely need a bit of clearancing but will work. the offset will depend on the overall width of the rim as it is measure from the physical center between inside and outside lips
