Rattle can paint question:) Hey guys I recently painted my chrome wheels black with a rattle can and for a winter project I was wondering can I sand the paint off and buff the chrome to make them look good again? Just a thought..
got a pic of the wheels? there were original wheels in chrome and paint.. to my knowledge, there were no polished rims.. if you have the ss rims, they were offered in chrome, you can just put some thinner on a rag and rub it off with a little effort... you can also lay a towel over the rims, make sure to remove the center cap, and just pour some thinner over the towel and let it soak... wait a bit and it should just wipe off for the most part.. HOWEVER... If you have paint under the black rattle can, you will ruin it and have to take it down to the metal and start over... test an area inside the barrel to make sure...
