17" BS Street Lite durability???

17" BS Street Lite durability??? How well do these wheels hold up? Are they strictly a drag race and weekend cruise wheel? I am considering a set, but I daily drive my Z28 about 10,000 miles each summer. I also plan to participate in a couple auto cross events and go to the drag strip once or twice a year.
2 years on mine and maybe 6,000 miles. Been heated up on the street with the line-lock on, driven on country roads, and fairly high speeds. I haven't had a problem with them.
17x11 and 17x7 here. Love them.

If your not going to drive in the winter than why ask about salt damage LOL, any rim will get jacked up if you don't take care of them. Polished rims are a pain in the *** but look the best IMO. For auto x I don't know if they make a 17x9 but I would go for a 9 inch in front

And I was looking at 17x11" rear and 17x9.5" front.

Verdad Gallardo if you drive alot imo i polish my rims once a month, i havent looked into sealers yet but im sure that would last longer, also i wouldnt use any random cleaners, get a good cleaner, some cleaners can leave stains behind, not a big deal because they polish right out but some are just to harsh imo,
We have sold a ton of them to rear end customers and haven't had a complaint on how they hold up as of yet. You are just going to want to keep them clean and polished like any bare aluminum wheel.
Eric the owner used a set for his personal car and street drove on them and then let them site for a year in the garage and they polished right up and look good as new.

The Street Lite in 17" is marketed as a street wheel, while the materials and construction of the wheel is the same as our 15" Street Lite wheels we have not tested the 17" wheels to meet the SFI requirements for certification. While they should hold up just fine at the drag strip, no Billet Specialties wheel has been designed or tested for autocross (however many of our customers do use them at Goodguys autocross events).
The Street Lite wheel features a polished finish with machined accents, there is no clear coat or protective coating so polishing will be needed and the number of times varies by the amount of use of the wheels. You'll want to treat the wheels like the paint on the car; no harsh chemicals or detergents and you should wax the wheels when you wax the vehicle, prevention of water spots is always important. A little light maintenance between driving and after exposure to weather will make the finish last longer.
