Default wheel narrowing

Hey guys Im going to be narrowing a pair of my stock z28 wheels by 2" to use as front runners I was just curious if anyone knows the best place to cut them at, I have my friend whose a professional welder welding them up for me but i need to cut and level them before I give them to him, Ive seen pics of the inside of narrowed ss wheels but couldnt tell the best places to make the cuts from them, any advice.

You can't take them down that narrow, 5 inches is all you can get out of stock wheels
