tire pressures
Hey guys, finally got my warm weather wheels back on for the upcoming summer months. Forgot how crappy blizzaks on generic camaro rims handle in comparison.
Anyway, real quick question concerning tire pressures. I noticed my nittos were filled to 35psi all summer, I guess the shop that mounted them didn't listen when I asked to have them set at 25, or felt it was a liability of some sort. Either way, I dropped those down to 25psi and checked the fronts. Just a touch under 28. Upped those to around 40 (recommended max about 44). Car definitely hooks better in the rear and seems to corner a bit better as well. My question, is if i'm running 16" factory chromes all around with 2 235/55/16 mastercraft avenger g/t's (previous owner's tires...these at all decent?) in front and 2 nittos out back, should I adjust the tire pressures at all from what i've listed? I'm trying to maximize my grip and handling on the street without causing the tires to wear bald in only a few thousand miles or so .
Thanks
