Default Trouble finding Auto X Tire

Trying to find a pair of tires for my front wheels. I am currently running 315/35/17 nitto 555r on my rear. I know it's not a great auto X tire but I got them before I decided to try it out and I figure I've got them so I might as well wear them out.

I've been researching but everything I find for my fronts is either on back order or not available in the size I want(275/40/17). I really wanted the Kumho XS but of course is on backorder. I also read nothing but great things about hankook rs3s but they are not offered in my size.

I do plan on driving to and from the track so slicks is not really what I'm looking for. Its not a daily driver but do plan on driving it anytime the weather is nice. If someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Can't find many reviews on them. There also not really on any comparison charts. I don't know if that's a sign of them not being very good or just marketing. Can anyone vouch for them NT 01 or is it worth just waiting for the kumho?

Nitto NT-05/Ecsta XS/ Toyo R1-R are in the same class. I am having real trouble deciding between the three.

Nitto NT-01/Toyo R888/Toyo RA-1 are in the same class of tire.

I would be cautious putting a real aggressive front tire with that 555R. You will have a more sidewall flex in the rear. Could make for interesting handling if you really ush the car.

There was a thread last year spring/summer where someone posted an article where there was a comparison test of these tires.

Be careful the 555r's have much softer sidewall, not sure if it will affect you any, I have them as well worried about it.

I ultimately would like to run same tire all the way around. If I knew someone who wanted to buy my 555r, I would sell them and get 315/35/17 NT01 in the rear also or whatever tire I end up going with.

They have roughly 800 miles on them and 1 track day(6 runs).

More specific on being cautious with the 555r. Damage to the tire or unpredictable handling?

I am going to research the toyo's a bit.

I talked to people before I ran my 555rs last weekend and everyone said it's not a big deal, just need to put a little more tire pressure in them. One of the experienced pony car guys told me to put 38psi in them and after 2 runs, he checked them out and said they looked like they were working fine.
