Default tire decision?

I have 18x9.5 c6 zo6 rims and I it's time for new tires. I had to 275/35/18 all the way around before. this time I'd like to have a 275/40/18 in the back and a 275/35/18 in front. Im looking for a sticky affordable tire for a college student for the rear. Any suggestions and thoughts? thanks

You don't want to mismatch the profile size an keep the same width. Maybe a 245/40 in front with a 275/35 in the rear not sure exactly tho. I think the front/rear stagger info is posted in a sticky somewhere.

what tires do you have now, and how do you like them?
BTW, Sticky and Affordable don't mix very well, it's going to be a compromise.

A decent, but affordable tire would be a Falken FK 452.
The 275/35/18s are $163.98 ea., and the 275/40/18s are $150.97 ea..
I've had them before(in those sizes), their a good tire for the price.

A 285 width tire is marginally wider than a 275. No, you won't need a spacer.

I'd go with a 285/35/18, so then you can at least rotate the tires front-to-back and have longer tire life. If you're not lowered you could go with a 275/40/18 size front and rear.

Yes make sure the front and rear overall diameter are close to the same.
