Default Nittos at Track; Need Info

Hey guys, I'll be runnin' the Z tomorrow night for the first time on Nitto 555 DR's. I would appreciate any info on tire pressure, staging, and launch rpms.

It should be about high 60s for temperature. Mods in sig. Thanks.

About 20 psi, slight burnout, clean them and launch soft since your M6, aint going to be a lot to hold the M6 down. Your going to spin just a matter of how much.

Get the tires a little wet in the waterbox, pull out just to the edge of the waterbox and do a burnout... nothing major, maybe like 5 seconds, just enough to see some smoke out your rear view mirror.

With 4.10s, you'll probably want to try launching around 2k rpms at first... most of the time when I launch higher than that, I sit and spin no matter how much I heat the tires up. So try low rpms first, then start launching at higher and higher rpms until either your clutch doesn't like it, or your tires don't.

Thanks guys. I was practicing launching on the street, and it was hooking at around 3200rpm at 30psi (a little spin.)

I guess this is why they call it test and tune!

Thanks again

Youll want to heat up Nitto's alot for them to get sticky. A buddy of mine had them and he did alot of runs with Nittos and this is his tip for me. Also dont drop the clutch at a certain rpm, just slip the clutch in. Youll net better results that way.

Gotcha. Slip it, not dump it. Keep in mind stock clutch.

Same strategy?

Thanks.
