Default removing plasti dip

i have a set of oem c5 zo6 wheels that are plasti diped. i am taking of the plasti dip to get them powder coated. i seen youtube videos on people taking this off very easy in minutes but this seems to be taking forever to peel off i already tried using a heat gun and no luck. (it has four coats btw) what does everyone use to take to take this off more easy or just it requires just time and patience??

Going through the same thing. Bought a set of plasti diped 10 spokes and was having ALOT of trouble peeling it off. It wasnt applied thick enough to peel.

I tried using goof off and it takes it right off. Youll need 2 cans for 4 wheels.

I have took that stuff off before and it was rather easy,as someone said the car wash/pressure washer should take it right off,if you apply it right it should be very easy, but people are know it alls and never read directions

That's weird because when I called to get a quote to get them powdercoated I mentioned to them that they were plasti diped and they didn't know what that was, that they were going to charge more if I took them with the plasti dip. But I will try pressure whashing them and try the goop off.

Of course they will charge more, you could always try using some kind of stronger cleaner, i would think a lil gas on a rag would wipe it right off with no effort at all,are you sure you bought the right stuff lol
