Default is this wheel fixable?

i had a run in with my caliper last week and it scraped up the inner barrel of the wheel and there is some curb rash on the polished lip (one small chunk missing)

can one of those mobile repair places fix this wheel? unfortunately it's discontinued by OE wheels and i can't get a replacement. i've been searching for a used one but if that doesn't pan out, is this wheel fixable? i think its also slightly out of round as it has a shimmy at 40-45mph and has had since new and balancing the tire/replacing the tire did not fix it.

ignore the rusty rotor, it's my old one that we put back on temporarily while i wait for a replacement set of pads (one flew off when the caliper came off)

If the caliper dug up that much of the inner barrel, I'd be concerned about the wheel's structural integrity.

I would talk to Weldcraft, or Wheels America about getting it repaired. Youd be suprised what can be fixed by a knowledgable shop.

I would try what NVR_SPDS said and talk to them and send in some pics to them and see what they say about the damage. Best of luck though.

I think i found a solution. i found a guy on here who has 2 oe wheels black ZR1's with thin lip for sale for $200 shipped. i think i'm gonna buy them both and keep one as a spare. i was going to spend $150+ on a new one if available since they were $125+ S/H or i was gonna drive up and get it.

Well that works. Glad you found an alternative than having to send your wheels off though.

oh i wasn't going to send it off. i was going to drive to a local MB dealer and have a mobile repair place do it. but for what that would cost (i'm guessing ~ $150) i'd much rather spend al ittle bit more and have 2 good wheels.
