Default Clear coating

Is there a reason no one clear coats the CCW or Fikse wheels after a polish or even have them done by the manufacture? Been a couple years now and don't remember which one did it but it was only like 100 per wheel. Maybe they all don't offer that service but I know some wheel companies do. Aren't our factory WS6 wheels cleared from the factory to be low maintenance? Just curious if I'm missing something here.
