Will theses hook ???
Will theses hook ??? Hey guys I tried researching and couldn't get a good answer. Anyways i've got a buddy who has a dirt track/oval track car and gave me a set of 275/60/15 soft compond tires with a nice size sidewall on them, and I was just wondering would these be worth trying at the track at all ? I just did my 1st cam swap and want to hopefully make my 1st 11 sec pass at the last opening day at the track. I recently went 12.4 with just converter and gears, now I have full exhaust & cam.
mehhh, if free, what the hell give em a shot. are they "D" (dirt) tires or "A" (asphalt) tires?? if Dirt, then they probably wont do crap for you. Circle track tires will have a stiffer side wall than a drag slick would, so you Might hook better, or you Might Not. Question is, if it Hooks, will that 10 bolt hold up??? Quite Doubtful. If it's your daily driver, may want to stick with a slow 60' for now..... JS
